If you have a moderate amount of money to spend, or if you have a group of people going in together to purchase a present, this could be a great idea for you! The way we've put this one together this will be an extravagant, unique baby shower gift basket idea that your new mom will truly treasure! Here is the gist of the Bassinet Bundle of Love, I'll paint you a mental picture: The wicker bassinet will be out of the box and put together, it will be filled with anything a mom will need for bath and bed time for their infant. It will be wrapped (just around the bassinet) with pink, blue, or white netting that can be purchased from the material department, and tied with a VERY large bow.

How to Make A Gift Basket ~ Put It Together!

1. Open and assemble the bassinet (save the box for your new mom).
2. Add the shredded tissue paper filling to the bottom.
3. Load in your purchases, largest items (like diapers) toward the back.
4. Be sure to choose a "front" of the basket, and make sure all item labels face front.
5. Place the baby shower gift basket greeting card toward the front and top of the bassinet.
6. Make your large ribbon (see below).
7. Cut the netting into two pieces in a zig-zag motion at both ends.
8. Bring the netting up around the bassinet and secure it with a wire, piece of small curling ribbon or rubber band.
9. Attach your large ribbon.
10. Ta da!

Make Your Own Gift Basket Bow Cut about 20 inches of the wire ribbon and angle both ends. Gather the netting up around the bassinet as you would with cellophane (you may need an extra pair of hands for this part of the project) and tie the 20 inch ribbon around the netting in a double knot, covering your original ribbon or wire. Take the remaining ribbon in your hand, make a 9 inch loop and wrap the ribbon several times around that loop until the ribbon is gone, possibly 6 loops if you have a regular roll of ribbon (not an extra large roll!). Pinch the loops in the middle and hold it against the knot you previously tied. Tie a double knot around the center of the loops, and the bow should be secured to your package. Take the loops and separate them from each other, if you twist each loop in alternating directions they stay put.
